DRIVE THE CIRCUIT 

Lakeside Park offers social groups, clubs and corporate groups the opportunity to spend a leisurely morning at the track. Happy Laps is family cruising at its best, open to road registered vehicles that cruise the circuit at road speed with the added bonus of breakfast as well. 
Cruise laps is a great way to introduce yourself to our award historic road racing circuit, in a safe environment.

RULES & REGULATIONS

HAPPY LAPS ARE NOT HOT LAPS or TEST LAPS

Happy Laps are for family cruising not performance driving. 

  • Any car-to-car contact is an instant stop for the session
  • Any car going off the track is an instant stop for the session
  • >1 sec of tyre smoke is an instant stop for the session
  • Speed obviously in excess of 120kph is an instant stop for the session; this is more than fair as there are over 100 events that hot drivers can use if they want to go fast.
  • All 18+ drivers welcome! (No Learner drivers), valid driver's license is required
  • 95db noise limit at 8m behind vehicle
  • All vehicles are to be in a well-maintained condition with no leaks or damage, decent tyres, brakes, and fluids.
  • No Roll Cages!
  • No loud music, revving or general hooning around the track or the track grounds.
  • No Drugs or Alcohol allowed on the premises
  • No Dog or fur babies allowed
  • Drivers to attend the briefing session held throughout the day – No entry to the track without a wristband for drivers in the car.
  • Over-taking is only on the straights, if not overtaking KEEP LEFT - repeated failure to do so will mean you will not be invited back.
  • We do not allow any form of Roll Racing at this events. If you are unable to follow this request, you will be removed from the track. Management also reserves the right to refund entries prior to the event if we believe your vehicle is not suitable for our events.
  • Seat belts must be worn by each person, if the car is fitted with them.
  • No getting out of the car whilst on track
  • Right of admission reserved, all staff reserve the right to remove anyone who does not abide by these rules, and any rules as stipulated on the day, without any refund.

As this is a non-competitive and reduced speed event, helmets are not permitted.

All vehicles entering the track must be currently road-registered and showing registration plates and roadworthy only, no trailered cars and no cars with aftermarket roll cages.
