Grass Roots Race Series

What does the series consist of? There are 4 x 2 day meetings and 2 x 1 day meetings in 2022.

On the Friday before every race meeting there will be a full day General Practice Day for race cars only.
In a two-day meeting, each category will receive a 15 minute qualifying; up to 75 racing laps and up to 5 race starts.
Single day meetings will a 15 minute Qualifying session, up to 1 hour or 45 laps of racing and 3 race starts. 1 hour enduros will be back as soon as we have the MID in place which is also expected to be in June.
We will restrict the field sizes in the GRRS to approx. 120 vehicles and the fields will be held to either 5 categories of 24 cars or 4 categories of 28 cars – depending on the entry commitments by the category managers.

The entry fee for the two-day meeting is $450 and for the 1 day meeting, $350. A full day GP can be purchased at the same time as race entry for $100. The GP on the day is $100 for ½ day or $150 for a full day.

Our dates are:

2 Day meets: June 10(GP) 11-12; July 8 (GP) 9-10; August 5(GP) 6-7; September 23(GP) 24-25

1 Day meets: October 21(GP) 22; November 25(GP) 26

Categories have already been booked for the remainder of 2022. Check each individual meeting on our calendar to see when you can get racing. There are a few spots that can still be slotted in, so if you do want to get your group racing in 2022 make sure you contact us ASAP.

Licence Requirements:

Drivers must hold:
A RACERS National Licence or
A Clubman Licence and Motorsport Australia Competition Circuit Licence or

A Clubman Licence and Australian Auto-Sport Alliance National Race Licence
All licences must be current and are to be presented at sign-on.

Vehicle Requirements:

Roll Protection, Harness, Oil Catch tank, Driver’s compartment fire proofing, Tail-shaft straps, 2 separate bonnet restraining systems, Rear vision mirrors, Rain lights (open wheelers only), 2 x throttle closing springs, Marker stickers, Mounted tow points,

Clothing Requirements:

One piece overalls (SFI 3.2A/SFI 40.1 compliant), enclosed boots, socks, balaclava, gloves and a full faced helmet (SFI 41.1 compliant), HANS or FHR device compliant with SFI 38.1,

Other Requirements:

Races will be conducted with the help of the RaceCiever radio system. These connect race control to all drivers for added safety and efficiency. If you do not have one of these radios, they are available for hire & purchase at the circuit on all days of the event. It is compulsory to have this radio with you at the drivers briefing to give you a run down on how they work and what you will hear during use.
